Batch picking with order labels
Use printed order labels to keep each order easy to identify throughout picking and packing. With this workflow, you place an order label in each bin and scan its barcode to add the order to your batch.
The label stays with the order as it moves through the warehouse. At the packing station, the packer scans the same label to open the order in the app and check its contents before packing.
Enable custom order selection
Before creating your first batch, open the settings of the Orderpicking App integration in your webshop admin.
Enable Enable custom order select for batch picking. This allows your pickers to build a batch by scanning the order labels for the orders they want to collect in that round.
You only need to enable this setting once.

Print the order labels
In your webshop admin, use the Orderpicking App integration to print the order labels for the orders you want to pick.
Keep these labels ready as you prepare the picking cart. Each order needs its own bin, and its printed label should stay inside that bin throughout the picking round and the handover to packing.
Next, open Orderpicking App and select a picker profile with batch picking enabled.
Scan orders into the batch
Start by placing the first order label in bin A. Scan the order barcode on that label to add the order to the batch.
Place the next order label in bin B and scan its barcode. Continue adding orders in the same way, placing each label in a separate bin and scanning it before moving on to the next.
Keep the labels in their assigned bins so the physical orders remain clearly identified. Before you start picking, check that each order you have added has a label in the corresponding bin.
When all orders for the round have been added, select Create batch and start picking.
Collect products for each bin
The app guides the picker through the batch, showing which products to collect and the quantities required for each bin.
Follow the instructions and place each product in the correct bin. When the same product is needed for several orders, check the quantity assigned to each bin as you distribute it.
Keep the order labels with their orders while picking. Once all products have been collected, complete the picking round in the app and move the bins to the packing station.
Scan the label to start packing
At the packing station, the packer takes a bin and scans the order barcode on the label inside it. This opens the corresponding order in Orderpicking App.
The packer checks the products in the bin against the order shown in the app, then packs the contents and completes the packing step.
Finally, they create the shipping label in their own shipping system. Repeat these steps for each remaining bin until all orders in the batch have been packed.
