With the Picking Route module, you give every WooCommerce product its own place in your warehouse, either per product or per variation. You build your own warehouse structure and set the walking order. The Orderpicking App then sorts every pick list along that route, so your pickers never have to walk back and forth.

How it works

1. Open Picking Route

In your WordPress admin, go to Products › Picking Route. This is where you manage all the locations in your warehouse.

2. Create your locations

Add every location in your warehouse with a name, for example Rack 12. Use Parent Location to place a location under another one. This lets you build a structure up to three levels deep, for example:

Floor 1 › Rack 12 › Bin L

The Live Structure Preview shows your warehouse structure as you build it.

3. Assign a location to a product

Open a product and go to the Order Picking App tab. Under Location, choose where the product is stored.

4. Add a location note

Use the Location Note to give your picker an extra instruction that appears in the app while picking. For example:

  • Always pick 2
  • This product consists of 3 boxes
  • Fragile, handle with care

5. Or per variation

Selling variable products? Give each variation its own location and note. That’s useful when, for example, a plant in size S is stored somewhere else than the same plant in size XL.

6. Assign locations in bulk

To give many products a location at once, go to Products, select the products, choose Assign location under Bulk actions, pick the location and click Apply. Done in one go.

7. See where everything is at a glance

The product list gets an extra Location column, so you can spot right away which products don’t have a location yet.

8. Set your walking order

Under Picking Route, drag the locations into the order your pickers walk through the warehouse. That order becomes the route in the app.

9. Pick in route order

In the Orderpicking App, the products in each order are now sorted along your route. The picker sees each product’s location and note, and walks through the warehouse in one go.

Why Picking Route?

  • Less walking: pickers follow a fixed, logical route.
  • Fewer mistakes: every product shows its location and any instructions.
  • Quick to set up: assign locations one by one or in bulk.
  • Flexible: up to three levels deep, per product or per variation.
  • Clear overview: the product list shows each product’s location at a glance.
